Mama Runs With Scissors Review!

Emmy received many compliments on her adorable little rainbow birthday outfit and I'm so excited to share with you the wonderful etsy shop of Mama Runs With Scissors! I came across Jen's shop a while back and couldn't believe all of her talent and creativity. I was thrilled that she sent me Em's rainbow "E" shirt, rainbow skirt and rainbow leggings for her party....ahhh the cuteness!

When I received the package, I was so pleased with the quality of her work. You can really tell all of the hard work and love she puts into her creations. Everything was packaged neatly and when Em tried it on I literally had to pry it off of her...(and she cried).

((plenty for the boys))

She's worn the shirt and skirt all summer and they have held up wonderfully. I washed them regularly with the rest of our laundry and nothing shrunk, frayed, fell apart, nothing! They look exactly the same as they did the first day. Now that it's almost fall and cooler weather is approaching I can't wait to get those cute little rainbow leggings back on her. They look so great with a jean skirt and are really fantastic for crawlers or potty trainers! (or just for those fashionista girls ;) )

((how adorable is this dress?!))

Jen's shop is FULL of amazing fabrics and outfit combinations. I adore her hip, rock n roll-ish, cutting edge style, different from a lot of the baby and kid stuff you'll find out there. Mama Runs With Scissors has so much to offer, I know you'll love her shop as much as I do. Be sure to check out all of her different sections of her shop...from Kool Kid leggings and onesies to sun hats and tutus!

A huge thank you to the very talented Jen for making Em's birthday so special (and cute)!

Please say "HI!" to Jen on facebook and her blog!

Lilla Rose Review & Giveaway

When I first heard about Lilla Rose Hair Jewelry, I was very eager to learn more...what exactly is "hair jewelry"? I was so pleased with the selection of products while browsing through their website, everything was so beautiful and unique. Some "bling" for your hair...I love it!

When Denise, an independent consultant, contacted me about hosting a review, I jumped at the chance. The hard part was obviously choosing which product I wanted to try because I loved so many of them. When I saw the beaded headbands it was a no-brainer! Let's be honest, I'm a mom of a 4 & 2 yr old, I wear my hair up a lot. Ok, let's be REAL honest...I wear it up EVERY day! The headbands were gorgeous and I thought it would be great way to spruce up my up-do.

I received the headband quickly and couldn't have been more excited! I think I wore it out that same night. I absolutely LOVE it! It looks cute with my hair dried straight down or up, and even up wet in a messy bun. It really is the perfect touch, it just gives me that extra "something" so I don't feel so blah...I know you know what I mean! The quality is also outstanding. A couple things that usually drive me nuts about headbands are 1. after a while they hurt like heck and 2. you have to constantly take them out and put them in again. Well, I really couldn't be happier that neither of these happened. It stayed in perfectly and I didn't even notice it was in my hair-LOVE!

The website is very easy to navigate and has tons of helpful info. Take a look around, they really offer something for everyone. From pony tail holders and beaded eyeglass lanyards to their extremely popular flexi clip and even some jewelry! Please be sure to check out the videos if you are curious about sizing for the Flexi Clips, there are 7 different sizes so there is definitely one that will suit you perfectly!

Let me just add that Denise is an absolute doll and was such a pleasure to work with. We've been talking for a few months now and I am so impressed with her work ethic and how much she truly cares about her customers--I know you will love working with her too! She is also offering WEB PARTIES...how much fun would that be?! Contact Denise via email for more details. Headchefs Review & Giveaway!!

I absolutely love to cook with my kids, and I think they love it more! Even though something that would normally take me 5 minutes turns into a huge ordeal with them helping, I still love it. So when I head about Headchefs, I was ecstatic! I knew my kids would flip over these adorable cooking tools and I am so excited to share them with you!

Well, I was right, they DID flip! When the box arrived my 3 1/2 year old son couldn't get them out quick enough. My 22 month old loved them too but more to play with their soft arms & legs. :)

I think that cooking with your kids is so incredibly important, it teaches them all about nutrition and healthy eating habits. Both of my kids used to be fantastic eaters and would eat whatever I put in front of them. Now, as they are getting older and voicing their opinions more (ugh!), they are starting to know what they "like", "don't like" and "want". Hands down -- if my son helps me cook dinner, he eats it better...every single time!

Headchefs® are “Cool Tools” for kids and parents. Headchefs lines of utensils are designed to make kitchen time fun for chefs of all ages. Healthy eating habits develop early, by providing your youngsters with Headchefs kids products, suggested cooking tips and recipes you can help to start them off on a lifelong love of cooking healthy, nutritious and fun dishes.

Ry now asks if he can help ALL the time, but only with his "special" tools, of course! We've made scrambled eggs, brownies, scooped ice cream, you name it! (I had to beg him not to actually EAT his ice cream with the SCOOP!) I couldn't be happier with the quality of our Headchefs. I love all of the cute little features and think it's so clever that the feet are suction cups so they can stand up and stick to the counter!! I already have our next few Headchefs picked out. I think Em would love her own little table set and Ry has informed me he wants a rolling pin and a bowl for his cereal! (How he even knew they HAD these things is beyond me-ha!)

There are 18 awesome utensils for you to collect
and the wonderful people
at Headchefs want to get you started!!

They are offering an amazing giveaway! One of my lucky readers will receive a stirring spoon, measuring cup, whisk, pastry brush and spatula!

BabyCakes Design Co Review & Giveaway!!

I always love finding "matching" stuff for my son and daughter. If something comes in a "boy" version and a "girl" version, I have to have it! So when I started searching for Valentine's outfits for Ry & Em, I was so excited to stumble upon BabyCakes Design Co on Etsy! They had exactly what I was looking for...matching Valentine iron on transfers. I had never tried to make their own shirts before, but thought it was such a great idea and couldn't wait to try.

Check out how cute these images are!

I found the perfect white shirts at Old Navy (on clearance and with a coupon, of course)! You can also find inexpensive, plain white shirts at Walmart & AC Moore (with coupon). Instructions were included and were very detailed and easy to follow. The transfers were packaged nicely and were wrapped in bubble wrap for extra protection.

In just a few minutes I had adorable, original Valentine's Day shirts for my kiddos! I loved the fact that I made them--and it was easy, I knew no one else would have them, they were super cute and most importantly my kids LOVED them! :)

BabyCakes Design Co has tons of other adorable stuff too. I especially LOVE the Monthly Onesie Stickers! I have a bunch of preggo friends this year and I think this might just be the perfect shower gift! You could give the stickers themselves or if you're up for a project you could even purchase the different size onesies and make them yourself! I think that would definitely be a HUGE hit!

There are TONS to choose from! Here are some of my faves :)

And I SOO wish I had these when I was pregnant!
What a cute way to capture your growing belly!!

BabyCakes Design Co has generously offered one of my readers a $9 set of stickers!!

Tubby Tabby Review

This is my first "official" review and I am more than excited about it! I absolutely love finding unique handmade items and especially love chatting with the great people who make them! I've been wanting to do some reviews for a while now and found myself the perfect opportunity.

A few weeks ago, while tweeting, I came across a tweet that said something like this..."be the 1,000 person to do this... and get a special gift" Ok, I'm paraphrasing there but you get the idea ;) I jumped all over it. I clicked on the link and was brought to a super cute shop on Etsy (ahhh Etsy...I was already in love) So I check out the shop's "hearts" and there were 999! I "hearted" them and that was that. A little while later I got a message saying I won...I was the 1,000 to heart their shop...YAY!!! I then met Jodi, the owner of Tubby Tabby, who let me pick out any item. How cool is that?!

Tough choice here because everything caught my eye, but I picked out a Scrabble Tile Pendant, I LOVE upcycled products! I wasn't sure which letter to go with as she let me have the choice. Hmm...S for me...R or E for my kiddos or D for the hubs. I went with the "D". (how could I choose between my monsters?!)

Tubby Tabby has way more than upcycled items...check out this necklace that was just listed today--beautiful! Earrings, sterling silver and so much more!

Jodi was SUPER nice during our convos, made me an awesome necklace and even included another necklace! Everything was done quickly and packaged adorably! (I am a sucker for cute packaging...that extra touch really makes a difference)

I'll let her work speak for itself...check out the pics!

If you plant that little cat on top of the box it grows cat nip...umm...how cool is that? I gave it to my nephew and he is growing some right now for his cats!!

Here is the necklace I picked out, I love it -- GREAT quality!

Love for my hubs!

She included an extra!! I gave this one to my niece who is a Junior in High School...she loves it and so do her friends! This would make an excellent gift!

It's a Domino!

Show Tubby Tabby some LOVE!

Thanks Jodi!!
