Little More Charming Review

I'm a girly girl. So are my tween nieces. So is my toddler daughter (thank goodness). I am always on the lookout for the newest, trendy, glittery, adorable (you get the point!) girly girl accessories. So when I was contacted by Little More Charming I was obviously thrilled!

I immediately went to browse through their website and loved what I saw. First, the website is pretty to look at, always a plus, it pretty much screams all things glitter! It's also very easy to navigate, which I LOVE in a website.

Here's a bit more about Little More Charming:

Karen Paul founded Little More Charming in 2010 after seeing her tween daughter eager to add fashionable touches to her collection of flip-flops and accessories. The quest for glitter and glam and a tween’s penchant for bedazzling items made Little More Charming a logical answer. Mothers and daughters can have fun personalizing their accessories. Everyone deserves to live a charmed life and to add some sparkle to their style!

Ms. Paul worked in Hollywood, the bling capital of the world, before moving back east to run her family’s successful publishing business. She took a few years off to be a stay-at-home mom prior to launching Little More Charming. Karen Paul lives in Westchester County, New York with her husband and daughter, and a menagerie of pets.

The idea is so clever. A bunch of different items that you can accessorize and make your own with different charms. From bracelets and headbands to wristlets and flip flops....something for everyone! I LOVE products like this because there are so many uses. You could give someone a gift like the Metallic Pink Bracelet with a few charms. Then you could continue to give charms for different occasions....holidays, birthdays, good behavior, report cards, the list is endless. The best part is the charms are less than $3...how can you beat that?! I could totally see adults loving these products as well. How cute would a tote bag and charms be as bridesmaids gifts or for a honeymoon, a beach bag...I could go on and on!

I was given an adorable purple headband and the pink silicone bracelet. Now, my daughter is a bit too young for these, but she FLIPPED over them. I literally couldn't pry the headband off of her. My tween nieces are going to LOVE these too. I think they are absolutely perfect for them (10 & 12). The charms are extremely easy to slide on and off and come with extra little plastic spacers to place between each charm.

(keep in mind that my little model, Emmy, is only 2 1/2...

but HAD to show you how cute this stuff looks on!)

Mama Runs With Scissors Review!

Emmy received many compliments on her adorable little rainbow birthday outfit and I'm so excited to share with you the wonderful etsy shop of Mama Runs With Scissors! I came across Jen's shop a while back and couldn't believe all of her talent and creativity. I was thrilled that she sent me Em's rainbow "E" shirt, rainbow skirt and rainbow leggings for her party....ahhh the cuteness!

When I received the package, I was so pleased with the quality of her work. You can really tell all of the hard work and love she puts into her creations. Everything was packaged neatly and when Em tried it on I literally had to pry it off of her...(and she cried).

She's worn the shirt and skirt all summer and they have held up wonderfully. I washed them regularly with the rest of our laundry and nothing shrunk, frayed, fell apart, nothing! They look exactly the same as they did the first day. Now that it's almost fall and cooler weather is approaching I can't wait to get those cute little rainbow leggings back on her. They look so great with a jean skirt and are really fantastic for crawlers or potty trainers! (or just for those fashionista girls ;) )

Favor time!

I need your votes in a photo contest for my hub's work. They are brand new to facebook and we had a blast with this promotion. Rules were to take any pic (or photoshop but I went the "REAL" route) with their logo. So I "Snookified" my nieces and we took a ride down to Seaside Heights. If you plan on hosting a party then you NEED to check out Baker's Bling Shop. Not only do they offer tons of amazing party supplies, they actually GAVE ME party ideas for Emmy's Rainbow Party and future parties just by browsing through their Etsy Shop. I mean, they really have it all.

The girls of Baker's Bling Shop are wonderful to work with, soo nice and really went above and beyond. They were generous enough to send me all of the Rainbow bags I used for Em's Candy Bar. THEE perfect touch! They also included some mini cupcake liners, which are soo cute and perfect for the little ones and edible Rainbow Sugar candy toppers for my cupcakes.

Sometimes I feel the adults love these movies more than the kids... because I SURE did love Cars 2 tonight! Soo cute!

We've been waiting to see this for months and it was a blast! Ry and his cousin had such a fun time as you can see... (matching Cars shirt and all) :)

Poppin' Dots Boutique Review

My next few posts will be filling you in on all the wonderful secrets behind Emmy's 2nd Birthday Party. As I've mentioned a million times before, I love, love, LOVE handmade. Something about buying from and actual "person", who I've chatted with, who I know puts so much love and effort into their creations is very important to me.

That brings me to the wonderful Brittany of Poppin' Dots Boutique. I've been chatting with Brittany for months now. She's friendly, a hard worker and very talented. She very generously offered me some party items for Em to wear on her big day. I chose a Rainbow themed party hat with a #2 applique and Brittany also made the oh-so-beautiful Rainbow tutu that she wore. Since then, she is focusing her website more on her pillowcase dresses (which are fabulous), skirts (ahh-the cuteness!) and tote bags. Also in the future for Poppin' Dots Boutique are shirt/short sets for girls and boys and flip flops....how fun!

Em's #2 Rainbow Party Hat was absolutely adorable. The quality was outstanding and it really was the perfect little addition to her outfit. She looked so cute wearing it while all of her friends & family sang her Happy Birthday. There are many different options for you to choose when ordering a Party Hat...Marabou feathers or Ric Rac, Pom Poms, appliqued numbers on the front, soft elastic or ribbon ties, and soo many adorable fabric choices. At only $10, I think these Party Hats would be the perfect finishing touch to your little one's party outfit too :)

Somewhere Over the Rainbow...Emmy turns TWO !!!

Can't believe my baby is two. I know everyone always says that,

but seriously...she's TWO!

Her birthday was wonderful and her party was a blast....

RAINBOW EXPLOSION in our backyard!! :)

I found cutlery sets in every color at the dollar store and thank my wonderful mom for wrapping them all up in a white napkin, finished off with ribbon and a party circle by Chickabug.

I found these little flower vases at the dollar store as well (you'll notice a theme here!), and put daisies in food colored water for few nights before the party.

My pride & joy of the party was the candy bar...what's better than candy in every color of the rainbow??? Taste the Rainbow!! I used RED swedish fish, ORANGE gummi bears, YELLOW pina colada candy sticks, GREEN spearmint leaves, BLUE Raspberry Gummy Rings and Purple Dark Chocolates. Also had Rainbow twizzlers and Rainbow gumballs.

Veggie: tomatoes, carrots, yellow peppers, broccoli and radishes that were soaked in blue (food coloring) water over night. "Clouds" were Blue Cheese & Ranch dips.

Fruit: strawberries, canteloupe, pineapple, honeydew, blueberries, red grapes. "Clouds" were Fluff & Cream Cheese dips.

I was going to attempt to try something different when it came to the cake, but I've come to this conclusion...every RAINBOW party MUST have the famous rainbow layer cake. My sister in law made this cake and it came out awesome. I smile every time I see it...I just love it!

Rainbow layered Jello was another big hit...looked even cooler once it was scooped out in everyone's bowls.

I stole this next idea from another sister-in-law and it was so much fun! I collected as many "props" as I could find...glasses, boas, hats, mustaches, you name it and I set up a photo booth. The pics came out so cute!

(backdrop was a shower curtain, "props" were from the dollar store, borrowed from friends, my kids' rooms, etc. Oh yeah, and IKEA! Have you ever bought dress up stuff from Ikea?? Great selection and even greater prices!)

Em's "costume change" was made by the super talented Jen of Mama Runs With Scissors. The initial shirt and rainbow leggings were ridiculously cute!

...and of course Emmy had to have one of my Emmy's Closet Rainbow Bows... (will be listed soon!)

Lilla Rose Review & Giveaway

When I first heard about Lilla Rose Hair Jewelry, I was very eager to learn more...what exactly is "hair jewelry"? I was so pleased with the selection of products while browsing through their website, everything was so beautiful and unique. Some "bling" for your hair...I love it!

When Denise, an independent consultant, contacted me about hosting a review, I jumped at the chance. The hard part was obviously choosing which product I wanted to try because I loved so many of them. When I saw the beaded headbands it was a no-brainer! Let's be honest, I'm a mom of a 4 & 2 yr old, I wear my hair up a lot. Ok, let's be REAL honest...I wear it up EVERY day! The headbands were gorgeous and I thought it would be great way to spruce up my up-do.

I received the headband quickly and couldn't have been more excited! I think I wore it out that same night. I absolutely LOVE it! It looks cute with my hair dried straight down or up, and even up wet in a messy bun. It really is the perfect touch, it just gives me that extra "something" so I don't feel so blah...I know you know what I mean! The quality is also outstanding. A couple things that usually drive me nuts about headbands are 1. after a while they hurt like heck and 2. you have to constantly take them out and put them in again. Well, I really couldn't be happier that neither of these happened. It stayed in perfectly and I didn't even notice it was in my hair-LOVE!

The website is very easy to navigate and has tons of helpful info. Take a look around, they really offer something for everyone. From pony tail holders and beaded eyeglass lanyards to their extremely popular flexi clip and even some jewelry! Please be sure to check out the videos if you are curious about sizing for the Flexi Clips, there are 7 different sizes so there is definitely one that will suit you perfectly!

I DID IT!!

Phew....my first half marathon is in the books!! It was so amazing -- beautiful day, runners were awesome and the crowd was fantastic. When I turned a corner around mile 2 and heard some locals blasting the Rocky theme song, I knew it was going to be a great day!

There were so many inspiring people along the way, I swear at some points I forgot I was running and next thing I knew another mile had come and gone. Then there were those lovely moments when I was pretty damn sure I was gonna pee my pants, my legs were going to fall off and then I was going to pass out.... but then I would see my awesome family (mile 9) and my little kiddos holding up their glitter signs "GO MOMMY" and I would be back on track :)

I think I just may have become a "half marathoner". I definitely want to do it again next year. I know 13.1 miles isn't for everyone but there are so many other races out there too. Try a 5K in your town, I promise you will feel so accomplished when you're done. It's a feeling you can't really describe until you do it. When I crossed the finish line, I was more than tired and couldn't utter a word but it was the greatest feeling (the fact that the last 1 1/2 miles were right along the ocean, wasn't too bad either).

If you're looking for some help training I strongly recommend Hal Higdon's training guides. (he has guides for a 5K also) They are so attainable, I know you can do it too!!

my last long run...

Today was my last long run before the half marathon on Sunday. I ran 8 miles and also fell flat on my face. Like...wiped out--flat on my face! I ran by my mom's house, while she watched my kiddos, in the town I grew up in and ran XC, winter track and spring track for years and years so the courses are so familiar and fun for me. Right around the 2.5 mile mark my foot hit a damn uneven sidewalk and I oh so gracefully tripped, landed on my hands, then knee and then somehow on my hip and finally wound up on my back. Seriously? I'm 31. There I was laying on my back in the middle of the sidewalk. BWAHAHA! I'm seriously such a klutz, always have been and apparently always will be. The first thing I looked at was my pants bc if I ripped my pants then I would have cried, but all was well. I brushed off my hands and continued on for 5.5 more miles. :)

I gotta say I really can't believe that I am up to 8 miles and feel good. I ran 10 last Sunday and felt pretty good too. It just feels so great to accomplish something and to have my old hobby back. Plus some ALONE time isn't so bad either ;)

I've got an easy week (running wise--doesn't help much that Em's party is SATURDAY!) and I'm more than excited for race day!! My goal is to be under 2:10, we'll see how it goes...wish me luck!!

Well, not exactly SPRING when I woke up this morning to SNOW--UGH!! What a bummer! I'm *hoping* this is the last week of crummy weather. I'm ready for warm temps, leaves on trees, birds singing, flowers and daily trips to the park...how 'bout you?!

Headchefs Review & Giveaway!!

I absolutely love to cook with my kids, and I think they love it more! Even though something that would normally take me 5 minutes turns into a huge ordeal with them helping, I still love it. So when I head about Headchefs, I was ecstatic! I knew my kids would flip over these adorable cooking tools and I am so excited to share them with you!

Well, I was right, they DID flip! When the box arrived my 3 1/2 year old son couldn't get them out quick enough. My 22 month old loved them too but more to play with their soft arms & legs. :)

I think that cooking with your kids is so incredibly important, it teaches them all about nutrition and healthy eating habits. Both of my kids used to be fantastic eaters and would eat whatever I put in front of them. Now, as they are getting older and voicing their opinions more (ugh!), they are starting to know what they "like", "don't like" and "want". Hands down -- if my son helps me cook dinner, he eats it better...every single time!

I LOVE when Etsy makes a GREAT update!! A while back they added "coupon codes" which I was overly excited about. It's so much fun to run a promotion and actually have a "code"! In the past, I had to make up a code (for no real reason other than it was fun) have the buyer enter it in notes BUT still pay full price. Then I would have to issue a refund of the difference back to their paypal account. BORING! Plus it seemed a little shady to some folks ;) can't really blame them.

Now, however, I can announce a particular "code" and once it's entered into Etsy it automatically comes off...fun! fun!

Just today I realized that NOW you can have free shipping codes also, instead of just the percentage off. YAY!! I'd like to think this was my doing since I DID send an email to Etsy suggesting this exact thing :) but something tells me I wasn't the only one!

Interview with Deb of Bluepie Designs

I met Deb back in November at our first Craft Show. She strolled by our table and right away we hit it off. We started talking about our businesses, Etsy, crafting...a little bit of everything. We exchanged cards and have been in touch ever since. We've been helping each other out a bunch too, it's been great. She fills me in & explains all the local craft fairs and group meetings to attend and I've been helping her with social networking. It's been really fun sharing our specialties with each other.

Deb is ridiculously talented and wonderful to work with. I can't wait to see what she creates next. I purchased one of her original secret money stash cuffs for my niece for Christmas and couldn't have been happier. She's been making them as kids' party favors too, for all you mom's out there--great idea!

Another thing I love about Deb is how she's always up for a challenge or something new. Whether it be diving into the "blogging" and "facebook" world or reading a post of mine about starting a running program and then starting herself! She wrote me one day and basically said.... I read your blog about training for a half marathon- I looked up that program and started training for a 5K today!

I loved reading all of Deb's answers and hope you do too!

About You & Bluepie!

1. Tell us a little about where you're from.

Jersey girl since day one. My dad built the house I grew up in in Colonia. Since then, my childhood girlfriend bought it, so I still get to go back and remember what it was like to be five anxiously waiting for the Good Humor truck to come by. Chocolate was my favorite.

2. When did you start sewing? Did someone teach you?

I started sewing in Mrs. Condor's Home Ec class in Junior High. Buttonholes were the hardest. I pretty much gave up on them until the new machines inserted them like magic! Now it's a piece of cake.

3. What's a typical day like for you?

A typical day is never typical. Gemini's (me) do 12 things at once. And then another 420 throughout the day. I am up at 6:30 am. Sewing, creating, painting, writing stories, emailing, online 24/7 on my MAC, photographing, dreaming, working out, reading, watching the travel channel during a veggie burger lunch, shopping at craft stores and fabric stores, more dreaming. Then I wonder where the day went and make a list for the next day. This time I try to limit the list to 419 things to do. I also normally design new ideas for Bluepie in my sleep. Those are always the best- it's how the "Secret Stash" cuff was born.

4. How did you come up with the name Bluepie Designs?

Bluepie Designs is an acronym for Blending Lives, Uniting Energy, Passion, Inspiration and Enthusiasm. My friend who is a jewelry designer and I plan to have a website together soon so I came up with this name which pretty much says it all. We are the ultimate nerds. (Cool nerds though.)

5. What are some of your other hobbies?

Hobbies? Just about everything I see I want to make. I've traveled every year with a good friend for the last 10 years and we have been all over the world. My camera is how I see what others don't. That, and my daily travel journal become an online or paper scrapbook when I return. Then I can revisit those streets of Paris whenever I wish. My hobbies are the essence of who I am.

6. What is your favorite item in your Etsy shop?

My favorite item at my Etsy shop? Is that a trick question? I can't answer that. My brain would go on overload.

7. Which of your creations are you most proud of?

I am most proud of my watercolor paintings actually, but they are not for sale on Etsy yet.

8. Any upcoming projects we can look forward to?

Upcoming projects right now are top secret information at BluepieDesign Headquarters. But I can give you a hint. It will be a mixed media project.

Randoms!

1. Plan your next vacation. Where do you want to go?

My next vacation will most likely be Sardinia, Italy. It will be my second time in Italy. Heaven on earth. It's still in the planning stages so who knows where I will end up.

2. You are headed out for dinner. Where are you going?

My favorite place for dinner out? Don't really have one. I love to try new places-more exciting. Although I do love Jose Tejas! Margaritas to die for and I feel like I am on a vacation for a few hours.

3. You just won $1,000 but can only spend it in one store. What store is it?

Of course if I had $1000 dollars to spend in one store only it would be the Apple Store. Or, no wait the craft store, or the camera store. That was another trick question wasn't it? (sorry, I hate to follow the rules)

I like Dogs better, but have 2 rescued cats.

2. Coffee or Tea?

Hate coffee, love tea!

3. Early Bird or Night Owl?

For sure, early bird. I am asleep by 11 pm. Brain is dead but needed for dreaming up new projects.

I don't gamble so even or odd is irrelevant to me.

Summer without a doubt rocks!

I always love finding "matching" stuff for my son and daughter. If something comes in a "boy" version and a "girl" version, I have to have it! So when I started searching for Valentine's outfits for Ry & Em, I was so excited to stumble upon BabyCakes Design Co on Etsy! They had exactly what I was looking for...matching Valentine iron on transfers. I had never tried to make their own shirts before, but thought it was such a great idea and couldn't wait to try.

Check out how cute these images are!

I found the perfect white shirts at Old Navy (on clearance and with a coupon, of course)! You can also find inexpensive, plain white shirts at Walmart & AC Moore (with coupon). Instructions were included and were very detailed and easy to follow. The transfers were packaged nicely and were wrapped in bubble wrap for extra protection.

In just a few minutes I had adorable, original Valentine's Day shirts for my kiddos! I loved the fact that I made them--and it was easy, I knew no one else would have them, they were super cute and most importantly my kids LOVED them! :)

BabyCakes Design Co has tons of other adorable stuff too. I especially LOVE the Monthly Onesie Stickers! I have a bunch of preggo friends this year and I think this might just be the perfect shower gift! You could give the stickers themselves or if you're up for a project you could even purchase the different size onesies and make them yourself! I think that would definitely be a HUGE hit!

week 1, day 1...

I've been a runner pretty much my whole life. It's always been the one thing that came easily to me and I loved doing. I started in 5th grade and ran through college. Then I stopped. Just completely stopped and I am still so mad at myself for it. I don't know if I had just had enough, or I was busy working, starting a family, etc. I could make excuses all day, but I'm done.

I am so excited that I have officially registered for my first Half Marathon!! I figured if I just took the plunge and registered I would HAVE to do it, right? (I'm not one to lose money!)

I started my 12 week training plan today, it was only a "stretch & strengthen" day so I'd say it went well. :)

I am going to post here and there about my progress (and hopeful weight loss!), I think this will help me stick to it.

Wish me luck, 12 weeks till RACE DAY!

My friend Jill recently started up an Etsy shop....Tempted Pastries & Pies, filled with all things YUMMY! Her desserts are seriously delicious, my family and I enjoyed some of her Red Velvet Whoopie Pies on Christmas.

snow day!

We got the call at 5am and then again at 5:15 am because I guess they thought once wasn't enough...grrr! It was officially Ry's FIRST SNOW DAY!! YAY!

This is what it looks like in lovely Jersey :) It's actually even worse than this now...you can see no "trunk" to our tree whatsoever!

We decided it was going to be "craft day" and I quickly realized how unprepared I am as mom. No pipe cleaners, pom poms, foam cut outs....no ELMERS GLUE! I mean, c'mon! Next time I am at AC Moore picking up supplies I am most definitely picking up my kids their OWN supplies!

We wanted to make something for Daddy and his new office and what's better than picture frames for his desk? Thank goodness our paper recycling hasn't gone out yet! :)

I gave the kids their own little bags and had them go around the house looking for "stuff" they wanted to put on the frames. I had to help Em but she did really well, except when I found one of Ry's socks in her bag....

Ry had a blast going through my craft table. I had to keep taking my expensive ribbon & embellishments away from him and pushing him towards the cheaper stuff.... ;) The kid's got good taste.

Here's what they came up with...

I cut picture frames out of the cardboard....

And they got to work!

Look at me! He made his ALL by himself and was very proud!

The finished product! The yellow tissue paper balls look more like spit balls,

but I think they did a pretty good job considering the limited amount of supplies we had.

Next time we'll be WAY more fancy...pipe cleaners and all ;)

Here are our picture frames all ready for Daddy's new office, and let me just add that he was THRILLED when he got home. ;) (and then asked if he REALLY had to take them to the office. Yes, Daddy, you do!)

Wildtree Review

When I heard that Amanda of Wildtree was looking for people to review some Wildtree products, I jumped at the chance! Wildtree has tons of all natural culinary blends that are sold through home tasting parties.

Here's what Wildtree has to say:

The absolute hardest part of this review was picking what I wanted to try. Everything sounded so delicious! I thought I was all settled on the guacamole blend...no wait, smoked mozzarella and tomato blend...or maybe some banana bread mix or whole wheat pizza dough mix....AHHH! I could have gone on and on, I'm pretty sure I took a good couple of days to email Amanda back because of this tough decision ;). I finally DID decide and went with the Spinach, Artichoke and Parmesan Spread. (and so glad I did!)

We host Christmas Eve every year at our house with both sides of our families, so this arrived at the perfect time. We always have fun and different finger foods, dips and appetizers so this dip fit in great! I was so excited to be able to add it to our menu for the night.

These were my intentions: Take a picture of the dip "before". Take a picture of the dip all set up on the table. And finally to take a picture of everyone enjoying this delicious Spinach, Artichoke, Parmesan spread!

Ok, so it went a little more like this:

I then went back into the kitchen to prepare the dip. I LOVED that on the back of the jar they gave you a recipe suggestion. (clever!)

Serve at room temperature or heated with crackers. Also add 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese with the entire jar, put in microwave for 3 to 5 minsutes or until cheese is melted. Stir and serve with crackers, Tostitos or crusty bread.

Mix in mozzarella cheese? Yes, please! I thought this sounded so good so I gave it a shot. Heated it up, stirred it around and served with crackers, bread, chips and carrots -- voilà! The smell filled up the kitchen and I couldn't wait to taste it.

I literally ran back in the kitchen, probably checked on a few things, chatted for a second and went out to take a picture and it was HALF GONE!! No joke. (hence the reason for no more of my planned pics) I've made spinach dip before and I've made a hot artichoke dip as well, this is totally different. Everyone absolutely LOVED it. Needless to say, a few minutes later and it was ALL gone! I think I caught my Dad in there getting every last bit onto a piece of bread ;) It was HUGE HIT and the perfect addition to our Christmas Eve party. THANK YOU Wildtree!

You have to check out their other products. Just when you think something sounds soo delicious, you'll find something else you want to try even more. From breads, pancake mixes and dippers to dressings, marinades and sauces, I want to try everything (not to mention they have desert mixes too...YUM)!

One of my favorite accessories for my little girl is leggings and one of my favorite places to get these leggings is AGOO! I did a review of Agoo a while back and Emmy actually just wore those leggings a few days ago and they still look great--I just love them!

Blog Makeover...YAY!!

Woo hooo!! Check out my new blog! Do you like it? I L O V E it, couldn't be happier. I worked with the fabulous Leah of Cutesie Blog Design and am so excited with how it turned out.

The process was SUPER easy, even for me, and I'm pretty clueless about this stuff. Well, I guess I should give myself *some* credit. I've been blogging for 9 months now and have really learned a lot so I'll say I'm a step above clueless. ;)

Leah's site is extremely user friendly, she answers pretty much any questions you might have right there. She breaks it down in list format (love this) which makes it really easy to follow along and understand. Her pricing and packages are right there too, so you can figure out exactly what you want/need. She also has a whole list of blogs she's already designed, I really enjoyed going through all these and could tell right away that I loved her style.

I simply picked out which designer I wanted to use (for colors, background, images, etc.), chose which package I needed and filled out the questionnaire. Then I anxiously waited to see what Leah came up with. The whole process took only one week, from the first email to the finished product. The best part was that Leah & I could talk via gmail chat and work out any kinks from there. She was so easy to work with and made any changes I wanted right away. I swear, I would ask her to change something a bit and in a minute she would write back with, "Done, check it out". It was honestly so much fun!

I must say I spent more time chatting with Leah yesterday than watching JETS playoff football, but it was so worth it. (especially after that game--ugh!) I think I had my laptop open the ENTIRE day watching her work on my blog!

I would highly recommend Cutesie Blog Design to any of you that are thinking their blog needs a makeover too. I'm absolutely thrilled! THANKS LEAH! :)

Following through with one of my New Years Resolutions... I am soo excited that I will finally be getting some help (REAL help!) with my blog!! YAY!! HTML codes scare me and doing this all myself is driving me nutso. I can't wait to get things going with Leah of Cutesie Blog Design and see what she comes up with! I'll tell ya more about the whole process once we're done...hopefully in about a week.

Happy New Year... (6 days late)

I've been wanting to blog for a week now and can't seem to get my act together. It's snowing, AGAIN! The Verizon guy is here (cute little booties on and all) for 6-8 hours, seriously? A realtor should be here in an hour just tell me what I already know...You will never be able to move out of your "starter" house...never ever! I've got 2 kids, still in PJs, with noses running like faucets. Not to mention one of them has a nasty cough. Oh, and I'm still in PJs too. AHHHH!!!! Can you hear me complaining from there? Which brings me to my RESOLUTIONS. Yup, those lovely resolutions that I usually stick with for a while then forget all about. Although, this year it seems like I can't even stick to them for a day!

Maybe if I put them out there in the blogging world I'll try harder...worth a shot ;)

How true is that? Keep Calm and Carry On. So that's my main resolution. It's simple, right? I'm trying not to flip over the small stuff. Not to even bring it up. We'll see how it goes ;)

And here's my obvious one...GET MY ASS BACK IN SHAPE! I mean enough is enough already. I can't blame it on "I just had a baby" anymore when she's 20 months old. I've always been an athlete and in great shape. Then I got married and figured I was set. Then I had Ry and thought why would I ever get back in shape now when I know someday I'll have another. So then there was Em. Now I'm done, so there are no more excuses. I just need to get my butt to the gym or start P90X again. Once I push through the first few weeks I know I'll be ok. It's just actually DOING IT and not talking about it....ugh!

Another very important resolution this year is for my family. We need to start eating better. I've actually been cooking healthy meals all week so I think this resolution MIGHT have a chance! I love to cook I just despise to clean up! My kids are getting older and I want them to learn what healthy eating is all about. I would love to hear anyone's recipe ideas and I'd love to share mine as well. Was trying to think of an easy way for some healthy recipe sharing. Any ideas??

Now for Emmy's Closet. I have B I G plans! I have tons more new items to list and I'm so excited about it. That's really my goal for the year. I want to expand and offer as much as I can, a little something for everyone! I just added some itty bitty baby bows, that I LOVE! They are the perfect starter set. Almost makes me want to have another little one ;) Although, I have lots of preggo friends right now so maybe I'll just pray for some pink from them! Some things to look out for are toddler belts (all finished JUST have to list them), bigger bows, holiday packs and felt clippies.

Lastly, I really want to learn more about blogging. I decided to start this blog on a whim and here I am. I've met soo many wonderful bloggers and am having such a fun time. I still really just wing it all the time though ;) Something will take me 2 hours to figure out and accomplish that someone else would get done in probably 20 mins. That frustrates me! I would love to get a "real" layout and have someone who actually knows what they are talking about teach me some new stuff. Although I am kinda proud of myself for learning as much as I have about this whole blogging thing and for getting this far!

PS: I am not proofreading. Don't judge me! I am not a writer, I rely on spell check and often ask my husband where commas should go and what deserves an apostrophe. What can I say?!
